Angel, is truely an angel. Was waiting for a friend to land and she was so nice and took care of me. First time in Kentucky and she made it feel like home.

I don't leave reviews but I had to say something. On Wednesday 11/27/19 around 12:30 My girlfriend and I stopped in to get a drink and something to eat. The name Burbon Academy was enticing. We were greeted by a super charming server that had a great smile and knew her product. We ordered the burger with beer cheese, I would have to say the food was super disappointing such a nice ambience and atmosphere while the cheese literally was inedible. It tasted like it had been left out all night and the burger that I asked for medium came out grey and tasted like shoe leather.
We than noticed the server that was also covering the bar was bussing all of her own tables and running the food. Wich is ok except that we noticed three employees 1 male and 2 females sitting at one of the high tops laughing, carrying on and to be honest talking extremely loud and inappropriately. while our server ran everywhere cleaning and working hard the whole time with an amazing attitude.
We than cashed out and went to our gate. After a delay my girlfriend decided she wanted a drink to go so went back up to grab a few. That was when she over heard the same man that was sitting and laughing at the high top screaming at our server and a new employee about not running food. Our server apologized and went to run the food. That's when he yelled at her and told her to stop and come back so he could tell some more. Making everyone at the bar uncomfortable. Except for our server who went and ran the food and returned with a smile on her face.
I would love to give her 5 stars and leave the restaurant a 1 Star but yelp won't allow me too. I will be back to Burbon academy because I fly a lot but I will stay if our server isn't there. I am a business owner of a few bars around louisville and I will definitely offer this server a job. I do feel like management needs to check their management style and take care of their #1 assets, happy employees!!! -

It's a small Airport Restaurant, in a Small Airport, what Do You expect?
So we were trying to fly out of Louisville to Chicago, during the great *May* winter storm of 2019. We were delayed, we were hungry, and the only thing that looked good at the time was a bourbon-themed restaurant. While the food was barely mediocre, the view and lounge area in the restaurant was great. We were able to relax and watch the private planes come in for Derby.
I ordered the Pork Baos, which were something--I'm not sure what, but there was pork encapsulated in a doughy, taco-shell-looking-thing. Take a look at the pic and help me out, please. They were overcooked and underseasoned. I also ordered the Steak Burger, which was a "house-made" patty, lettuce, tomato, bourbon-glazed onions, served on a toasted brioche bun, with fries. It was a cafeteria-grade burger at best--also over cooked. My thing is if you are going to serve mediocre food, don't try to dress it up with fancy menu descriptions and modern decorations--just be mediocre. It sucks to get let down, but I need to remember, it's an airport restaurant.
Overall, when you're in a pinch in the Louisville airport, you don't have a lot of options. So suck it up or wait to get something at your destination or connection (if you have time). -

Upstairs between the A and B concourses, sits a relatively small pub with a fully stocked bourbon bar. Ambiance is rustic chic with rope pendent lighting and wooden high top tables and metal bar stools.
Food and service was overall just fine. I ordered the veggie stir fry, which was good, although a bit overly salty. I also would have loved to see more than one fresh veggie in the mix. My travel partner ordered the steak burger, which he said was good. The fries that came with the burger were probably the yummiest part of our order.
If you're looking for a wide bourbon selection, this place has you covered.
I'd be willing to try them again in the future. -

The best place in the airport to chill and wait for your flight, whether it's a flight of bourbon or a flight to anywhere else. The old fashioned is about as good as you'll find in the city and there are small bites that are enough to keep your stomach from grumbling. You don't need a membership which is superb for a waiting room of this caliber..plush leather couches, and a variety of tables with a bit harsher seating, but still miles better than the standard airport seat.
